Eric joined the firm in 2018 and is now responsible for supervising the creation and updating of all financial plans and tax estimates for clients. He also writes the “Financial Planning Corner” for the SWWM Client Quarterly Commentary, website commentary blog, and LinkedIn.
As an Advisor, Eric enjoys working with clients to help articulate their goals and answer common planning questions, such as “Can I retire?” or “How much can I spend in retirement?” He views the financial plan as a living document and recognizes the importance and benefit of clear financial decision-making throughout both working and retirement years. Eric collaborates with John West and Adam Rochberg to ensure financial plans are accurate and updated regularly as client circumstances change. Together, they also review client tax returns for errors and planning opportunities such as Roth conversions, IRA or annuity overdraws, qualified charitable distributions (QCDs), and other gifting strategies.
Eric received a B.A. in Education from the University of Kentucky in 2004. He attained his Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University in May 2020 and, in October 2020, became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Eric then completed an MBA from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, graduating with high honors in August 2023.
Eric and his wife, Jaimie, live in Longwood with their rescue dog. They have two sons and one granddaughter.
